Professors and Lead Researchers
Prof Aaron Thean is the Dean of NUS Engineering and Founding Director of HiFES. Besides, he also serves as Director of E6NanoFab, NUS Engineering’s micro-nanofabrication research centre; Co-Director of Applied Materials-NUS Advanced Materials Corporate Lab and Co-Director for A*Star SIMTech -NUS Joint laboratory for Large-Area Flexible Hybrid Electronics.
Benjamin Tee is Assistant Professor with the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, NUS. He obtained his doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University in 2013 and was a Stanford Biodesign Global Innovation Fellow in 2014.
Guo Yong Xin joined National University of Singapore (NUS) in February 2009 and is currently an Associate Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
Chun-Huat Heng has been with the Department of Electrical and Computing Engineering, NUS since 2004 where he is currently an Associate Professor.
Jerald Yoo received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Department of Electrical Engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Daejeon, Korea, in 2002, 2007, and 2010, respectively.
Dr Kelvin Fong is an Assistant Professor at the Electrical and Computer Engineering, NUS. His research interests include devices-to-systems co-design methodologies for Si and non-Si nanoelectronics;
Koen Mouthaan is currently an Associate Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computing Engineering, NUS. A/Prof Koen received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands.
Professor Lim is a Provost’s Chair Professor at the Department of Biomedical Engineering as well as Principal Investigator at the Mechanobiology Institute at NUS.
Massimo Alioto is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, NUS where he leads the Green IC group and is the Director of the Integrated Circuits and Embedded Systems area.
Professor Nitish V. Thakor assumed duty as Provost’s Chair Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering on 27 March 2012 with joint appointment to the Department of Bioengineering and the Department of Medicine.
Prof Ouyang received his PhD, master and bachelor degrees from the Institute for Molecular Science in Japan, the Institute of Chemistry at the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Tsinghua University in Beijing, respectively.
Prof Li Shiuan joins NUS as Provost’s Chair Professor in the Department of Computer Science, with a courtesy appointment in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in September 2016.
Vincent Lee is currently an Associate Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and the Director of Center for Intelligent Sensors and MEMS (CISM) at the National University of Singapore (NUS).
Yang Hyunsoo joined NUS in the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2007 where he is currently serving as an Associate professor working on various nanomaterials and devices for future electronic applications.
